As part of our series on our team here at Pixels & Pencils, we asked our Account Manager Tiffany Tobias to answer 20 questions.
- What is the best thing about your current role? Particularly, strategizing the balancing act of each day – for each client project and for each of our team member. Boundaries and burnout are crucial to manage.
- What motivates you to work hard? I have an insatiable appetite for self-competition. This feeds into my desire to work my hardest at anything I do (or so I’d like to believe) and contribute in a way that isn’t just ‘doing my job’ but exceeding at it, where possible.
- Can you tell me a bit more about your career path? This is probably a surprise for some people but in the earlier part of my professional career, I worked as a social worker/mental health worker. I then left the industry and began pursuing a career in corporate sales and event management. Eventually, this led to my desire to work agency side.In addition, I also have a background in Marketing Management and work as a part-time professor at Fanshawe College.
- What is something about you that may surprise people who don’t know you well? I’m a classically trained opera singer.
- As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A singer. Not necessarily an opera singer but I definitely wanted to be onstage performing.
- If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask? Why am I so clumsy?
- What job would you be absolutely terrible at? Race car driver
- Where would your ideal next vacation be? Somewhere in the South of France
- What would you sing at karaoke night? Oh, Darling by The Beatles
- If you could star in a movie, what movie would it be? Any zombie apocalypse film where I get to play Cillian Murphy’s love interest.
- What product would you stockpile if you found out they weren’t going to sell it anymore? Costco french fries
- What is your most frequently used emoji? 👀 Says so much and so little, all at once.
- If you could live in any other time period, what would you choose? Barring any social/cultural/political repercussions, probably the 1920s – the fashion was great and so was the music.
- If you could be great at anything, what skill would you like to master? Perfect pitch
- What fad or trend do you hope comes back? 1980s crimped hair
- What is your biggest fear? A life filled with regret
- Would you rather go hang gliding or whitewater rafting? Whitewater rafting
- Serif or Sans serif? Serif, cause I love a good classic.
- What is the most annoying habit that other people have? Lack of self-awareness
- What piece of entertainment do you wish you could erase from your mind so that you could experience it for the first time again? Less of a “piece of entertainment”, but I would enjoy re-experiencing the moment my partner and I fell in love, because I’m a romantic at heart and love is a beautiful thing.
